Berkongsi "Colonoscopy" Story

Sekadar berkongsi cerita sessi colonoscopy saya untuk sessi ketiga.
Bermula 12.00 tengahari dah kena puasa makan.
21 October , jam 7.00 malam , memulakan meminum Phospho-soda , air paling tak sedap saya minum sepanjang hidup saya..
Jam 9.00 malam , selepas solat Isyak , tindakbalas bermula
Keluar masuk bilik air macam orang kena cirit birit
Langsung tak boleh tidur malam
Jam 6.00 pagi , selepas solat subuh , terpaksa meminum 1 botol lagi Phospho-soda , itupun saya minum separuh cawan je
Rasa macam nak muntah dah waktu tu…
So jam 7.30 mandi and menuju ke Serdang hospital.
Daftar dan ditempatkan dikatil 20
Lama gak menunggu , around 10.30 nama saya dipanggil untuk masuk ke bilik colonoscopy.
Bila nak pasang IV Line kat tangan kiri saya , sekali jururawat tu kata doctor yang patut buat procedure untuk saya tu kena masuk OT – Operation Theatre
So saya kena tunggu doctor lagi sorang habis buat procedure untuk pesakit lain dulu..
Saya dimaklumkan oleh jururawat , doctor nie doctor baru..
Lama saya tunggu , dalam pukul 11.30 baru doctor tu masuk dan saya telah disuntik bius..mula khayal
Tapi tiba-tiba saya rasa sakit sangat bila kamera tu berjalan dalam usus saya , selalu tak macam nie pun
Saya menggigil menahan kesakitan yang amat sangat , at the end saya disuntik sekali lagi bius
Waktu tu saya dah mamai habis , nak tgk usus dalam kamera pun saya tak ingat dah…
Yang saya sedar dah kat atas katil..
Bila saya nak balik , nurse xbg cause saya dtg drive sendiri – taknak susahkan orang
Maka terpaksalah saya call kawan saya bagi menyakinkan nurse yang ada orang jemput ,
Selagi nurse tu tak tengok muka kawan saya tu , dia takkan benarkan saya keluar dari wad…
So bila kawan saya sampai kat wad , barulah saya dibenarkan keluar dan saya ambik risiko sendiri dengan memandu pulang.
Memang terasa kesan bius saat tu , tp saya gagahi juga…
Sampai rumah , letak je kepala kat bantal , pengsan sampai ke petang….
On the next day , saya ambik cuti coz nak regain my energy , at the same time saya needed to start my puasa Syawal coz dah 23 Syawal
So semalam saya mulakan puasa Syawal dan akan tamat pada 29 Syawal(moral of the story : Jangan tangguh-tangguh puasa Syawal)
So maybe next year , saya akan jalani kembali procedure nie…
Saya akan ke hospital serdang semula , 3 bulan selepas tarikh colonoscopy kelmarin.

Phospho-soda - The best drink I ever drink in my life

Phospho-soda is a powder that is available over the counter either by itself or as part of a kit that also includes a laxative
and an enema or suppository. The physician performing the colonoscopy will give instructions on which type of kit to
purchase.
Three ounces of the Phospho-soda liquid is mixed with water, or if the physician allows, other clear liquids such as ginger
ale. After drinking the Phospho-soda mixture, most patients are instructed to drink at least 3 glasses of another clear
liquids. If part of a kit, the rest of the kit (laxative, enema, or suppository) will then be used according to doctor's
instructions.
This preparation usually results in a bowel movement anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours after it is taken. Phosphosoda
is also available in flavors to make it more palatable.
Most physicians will instruct patients to call their office if the preparation does not progress as expected (for example
there is no bowel movement at all or the evacuations never becomes clear).

Colonoscopy - I goes for 2nd time today after my checmo session

Colonoscopy is the endoscopic examination of the large colon and the
distal part of the small bowel with a CCD camera or a fiber optic camera
on a flexible tube passed through the anus. It may provide a visual
diagnosis (e.g. ulceration, polyps) and grants the opportunity for biopsy
or removal of suspected lesions. Virtual colonoscopy, which uses 2D and
3D imagery reconstructed from computed tomography (CT) scans or
from nuclear magnetic resonance (MR) scans, is also possible, as a totally
non-invasive medical test, although it is not standard and still under
investigation regarding its diagnostic abilities. Furthermore, virtual
colonoscopy does not allow for therapeutic maneuvers such as
polyp/tumor removal or biopsy nor visualization of lesions smaller than 5
millimeters. If a growth or polyp is detected using CT colonography, a
standard colonoscopy would still need to be performed. Colonoscopy can
remove polyps smaller than one millimeter. Once polyps are removed,
they can be studied with the aid of a microscope to determine if they are
precancerous or not. Colonoscopy is similar to but not the same as
sigmoidoscopy. The difference between colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy
is related to which parts of the colon each can examine. Sigmoidoscopy
allows doctors to view only the final two feet of the colon, while colonoscopy allows an examination of the entire colon,
which measures four to five feet in length. Often a sigmoidoscopy is used as a screening procedure for a full colonoscopy. In
many instances a sigmoidoscopy is performed in conjunction with a fecal occult blood test (FOBT), which can detect the
formation of cancerous cells throughout the colon
